Cor Meibion Clydach held its very first practice in March 2024 with only 16 members. Since that time the choir has grown tremendously. Clydach once boasted a Male Voice Choir which was very successful and went on to win the National Eisteddfod, an accolade any choir can be proud of. Unfortunately, that choir disbanded. At a time when a lot of choirs are diminishing, it is great to see Clydach Male Voice Choir buck the trend, showing there is still a big demand for Welsh Choral music in Wales. We are proud to have Derek Bevan MBE as the choir's president, and Gareth Crees as our Vice President.
On 22nd November, our choir takes to the pitch at the Principality Stadium to provide the pre-match entertainment and Anthems. This is a very proud moment for the choir and something our members will never ever forget. Join us in person or watch on TV !
In April 2026, we travel to Carlow, Ireland to take part in the Pan Celtic Festival bringing together music from Celtic nations such as the Isle of Man, Cornwall, Brittany, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. As well as performing in Carlow Cathedral, we'll be competing against other choirs during the festival.
We practice every Thursday and EVERY OTHER SUNDAY in the back function room of the Vardre RFC. - Arrive by 18:30
